What A Crazy Week!

Published by parenting28 at 12:14 am under Uncategorized Edit This

School finally started last week and I must say that it was very overwhelming.  I had already forgotten just how crazy and unorganized things get when a new school year begins. First of all, I live close to my kids school so we walk but, because my eldest son is now attending a new school he has to go on the bus.

My day starts at six 0′clock. I get up and go wake up my son so he can get ready for school, I then wait for his friend who walks with us to the bus stop. The bus is there by six-thirty, so we have to get there before the bus does, or he’ll miss the bus. I then go back home and wait until seven so I can wake up my daughter and my younger son so they can get ready for school. In the mean time, I put on a pot of coffee for my husband and get my baby ready if she’s awake, if she’s still sleeping by seven thirty, I just leave her with my husband and I go drop off my kids at school. So now I have to walk twice.

The third day of school, I woke up late and my son missed the bus because my baby girl got sick and I forgot to turn on my alarm clock due to having four hour sleep nights for that first week. Then my husbands’ nephew was dropped off at the wrong school and I saw him there crying that he was lost. I know the first few days of school are hectic for the bus drivers but, he was wearing a tag with the name of the school and all his other information. I told one of the teachers’ that I could drop him off at his school because he was my nephew but, I couldn’t without his parents concent. When the teachers’ tried calling them, they never answered their phone and at the end they decided to call a bus to take him to the right school.  So I just went home.

To make an already crazy week crazier, my sons and my neighbors sons get into  this arguement, which I don’t need by the way. Our neighbor has a very bad habit of waltzing into my house without permission and makes himself at home. So when my sons pellet gun went missing from my bedroom, my kids went to ask him about it. Well, let’s just say that things didn’t go to well when their mother came out yelling like a mad woman. Nobody disrespected her in any way, she was the one making a fool out of herself. My husband and kids looked at her in disbelief and I could here her rantings all the way to my house, so I’m assuming that the whole neighborhood could hear her rantings as well.

After not sleeping for days with a sick baby and having to wake up at all hours of the night with her plus waking up at six in the morning, the last thing I need is having to put up with my neighbor too. I am so glad that is finally over, our days are in order now, and I haven’t missed the bus anymore. As for the missing pellet gun, it was never found.

So how have your weeks been like? Was it as crazy as mine?
